Principal’s Welcome

On behalf of our parish school community, I welcome you to the Christ the King school website.

We are a welcoming school community with a long and distinguished history. We strive to keep the needs, learning and development of our students at the heart of all we do.

Father Eric Burton began our parish community and has been instrumental in the initiation and continuing development of our parish school since its origin.

The presence and leadership of the Holy Faith Sisters for the first 21 years of the school’s existence has been a true gift to our community. Their ethos and traditions continue to live on in the parish and school.

Each child is unique and special with his/her own gifts, and we are honoured to have the privilege of being entrusted with the education of each child.

The committed and talented staff at Christ the King aim to provide quality learning and teaching to foster in each child academic and human excellence. We aim to provide them with many opportunities to experience Christ in their lives and develop this lifelong faith relationship.

We emphasise:

  • catering for the 'whole' person - spiritually, socially, physically, emotionally, culturally, intellectually.... based on Gospel values
  • providing opportunities for each child to experience and celebrate success and learning at their own individual level
  • helping each child to experience God's love and nurture their personal faith in an environment of prayer, celebration, belonging and community.

We support our parent community in the fundamental role they have as the first educators of their children. We aim to work in partnership with our parents throughout their child’s schooling.

I encourage you to explore our website and perhaps book a school tour so that you can learn more about what makes Christ the King a great school for your child. I look forward to meeting you.
